Turkey’s benchmark stock index closed the week at 119,201.63 points on Friday, up 0.14% from the previous close.
After starting the day at 118,500.81 points, Borsa Istanbul’s index increased 170.46 points from 119,031.16 points at Thursday’s close.
One ounce of gold sold for $1,895.80 by market close, up from $1,881.60 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul’s Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The price of Brent crude oil was around $43.27 per barrel as of 6 p.m. local time (1500GMT) on Friday, with a day range of $43.02 to $43.89.
At the beginning of this year, a barrel of Brent oil sold for around $58.
Borsa Istanbul on Monday will remove two zeros from its indices — including BIST 100 and BIST 30.
